VICTORIA – MiMa@theBay Victoria Downtown has arrived! Now Victoria art lovers, designers, and home décor enthusiasts have direct access to the island's most spectacular array of fine art by Canadian Artists at unbeatable prices.

On display are small numbered collectible Limited Edition Prints of forty plus of the finest Canadian Contemporary Artists, with the emphasis on local established BC artists. The choice is diverse and extensive, with vast range of styles including: landscapes, abstracts, still-lifes, floral, wildlife, calligraphy, photography and digital art. The museum standard and quality of these fine works of art are truly not to be missed, thanks to MiMa@theBay.

Founders Mitra Ghaffari, an award-winning Persian-born artist and Prior, a world-class British-born photographer and gallery owner, launched their dream of building a bridge between Canadian Artists and their local communities, from their state-of-the-art publishing complex on Denman Island. MiMa@theBay is the evolution of this integrity-based initiative.

MiMa@theBay Vancouver Downtown opened recently to an overwhelming response and now it’s Victoria's turn. The launch of "MiMa at the Bay" coincided with the Bay's launch of a new nationwide marketing campaign, "Live Artfully".

As Mark Prior, director of MiMa Fine Art, put it: "We consider this a momentous occasion that calls for celebration. Here at 'the Bay' today, the corporate world has joined with some the best of the local artists, to bring their work to the people in their neighboring communities at affordable prices. This has opened the way for Canadian artists to have a platform from which to present their work to the public who might not ordinarily visit art galleries. The Bay and the artists gathered here are pioneers, setting a model for collaboration between artists and corporations in a way that benefits their communities and the culture as a whole."

The exhibition of limited editions is on permanent display, throughout the 4th floor of ‘the Bay’ Downtown and the 5th floor "Harbour View Restaurant". Growing numbers of artists and new art are introduced regularly.
