![]() Motoko was born and raised in Japan with a love of the arts since childhood. She attended Tokyo Illustration & Art School in Japan before migrating to Canada in 1992. She is an accomplished and well known artist on the Sunshine Coast, BC. She exhibits her art in her private gallery in Pender Harbour. Her personal inspiration from the beauty and diversity of nature, the elements of the universe and human emotions are expressed through her use of colour, texture and stylised abstracted art forms. She creates compelling abstract paintings, which inspires and evokes each viewer’s emotions, allowing them to participate in her art creatively and freely. Motoko’s work is collected by top interior designers to enhance their client’s modern homes, businesses and corporate spaces. Her work is in many private and corporate collections throughout Canada, US and Japan.
